12 Clean Eating Porridge Recipe Ideas for #WorldPorridgeDay

Tomorrow is World Porridge Day! A whole day dedicated to my favourite bowl of morning oats.  Porridge is a very popular breakfast choice for clean eaters for so many reasons. Wholegrain oats are a great source of long lasting energy and you never need to get bored with porridge as the toppings/flavour combinations are endless.

Today I am sharing with you some of my favourite clean eating porridge recipes from The Kitchen Shed but I also wanted to let you know about a great cause that I found by a Scottish charity called Marys Meals that I thought would be fun to get involved with.

Mary’s Meals provides life-changing meals to some of the world’s poorest children every day they attend school. They have teamed up with Stoats for their Porridge Smiles Campaign this October and they are inviting everyone to make a hungry child smile with porridge.

All they want us to do is to create a smiley face or character in our porridge, Text ‘OATS17 £2’ to 70070 to donate £2 to Mary’s Meals which will provide hungry children with meals in school for a month and then share our Porridge Smiles picture on social media using the hashtag #PorridgeSmiles.
