Yummy!! This porridge is very very scrumptious indeed. Dare I say it, my favourite porridge?! I know I say that about every new porridge recipe that ends up here on The Kitchen Shed, but this one really is super delicious!
I’m trying hard to avoid using maple syrup or honey in my morning oats, I want to save those added sugars for special treats rather than relying on them every morning. Medjool dates do an amazing job at making this porridge sweet though and the coconut adds great flavour.
Clean Eating Coconut & Date Porridge is sweet and delicious. It is a great way to start the day, fueling you with plenty of long lasting energy. Add as much or as little coconut oil as you like, the benefits of coconut oil are amazing!

Clean Eating Coconut & Date Porridge is sweet and delicious. It is a great way to start the day, fueling you with plenty of long lasting energy. Add as much or as little coconut oil as you like, the benefits of coconut oil are amazing!
Ingredients
- 20 grams Rolled Oats
- 180 ml Milk of choice I used oat milk
- 1/4 teaspoon Coconut Oil
- 2 Medjool Dates stones removed
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Coconut
Instructions
- Dice up the dates and place them into a saucepan with all of the other ingredients.
- Turn on the heat for 2-3 minutes until cooked.
- Serve with an extra splash of milk and another scattering of dried coconut if desired.
