Clean Eating Vegetarian Pizza

Clean Eating Wholemeal PizzaClean Eating Wholemeal Pizza Clean Eating Wholemeal PizzaSometimes you just need a slice of pizza. Like at your kids birthday parties, whilst having movie night with your family or during the Eurovision Song Contest (Ooh yeah, that’s the way I roll people!).  I believe that pizza is something that should be enjoyed by everyone, every once in a while.

Even my cheese phobic 5 year old can enjoy it. (He’s not really cheese phobic, he just really doesn’t like cheese!). I just leave the cheese off of his pizza and he is a happy chappy.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Roll out your pizza dough into 4 equal balls.
  2. Place each pizza base onto a baking tray lined with grease proof paper.
  3. Cover the pizza bases with a tea towel and set aside for 30 minutes whist you prepare the toppings. Pre heat the oven to 200°C.
  4. Slice up your vegetables and grate your cheese.
  5. Once the dough has rested for 30 minutes, spread 1 tablespoon of tomato puree onto each.
  6. Sprinkle over half of the cheese over each pizza and top each one with 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of dried herbs.
  7. Top each pizza evenly with your favourite vegetables and then top the vegetables with the last of the cheese.
  8. Place into the oven for 25 minutes, until the base is cooked through. You will be able to tell this by feeling the bottom of the pizza base.
  9. If the top of your pizza is overcooking before the base is done, just cover it with some kitchen foil, or turn down the oven.
  10. Once cooked, allow to cook slightly before serving and enjoying!
