Please forgive my use of pesto just once more! I know I have been slightly pesto mad here at The Kitchen Shed, but I just love the stuff and cannot help myself making big batches of it which need using up one way or another and this just happened to be a really delicious way that I had to share 😉
Clean Eating Pesto Turkey Bolognese makes for a really quick but flavour packed meal which the family will love. We served ours over some wholegrain spelt spaghetti and everyone cleared their plates. I used my Clean Eating Kale, Walnut & Basil Pesto for this recipe but you could use any pesto you like.

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon Oil of choice I used Avocado Oil
- 1 Onion diced
- 500 grams Lean Turkey Breast Mince
- 3 Garlic Cloves minced/finely grated
- 2x 390 grams Chopped Tomatoes cartons
- 6 Tablespoon Clean Pesto
- 1/4 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a saucepan with the onion for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Once softened, add the turkey mince and cook over a low heat until it is no longer pink. You can break it up with your wooden spoon as it cooks.
- Once cooked, add the garlic and stir.
- Pour in the chopped tomatoes and pesto and bring to the boil.
- Once bubbling, turn the heat to medium/low and let it simmer away for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
- Serve over wholegrain spaghetti with a large side salad.
