It’s hard to describe the flavour of spelt. It does taste different from whole wheat but the flavour isn’t strong or overpowering. I absolutely love it and actually prefer the flavour of it to regular whole wheat bread although the texture isn’t quite as soft and bouncy as my Clean Eating Breadmaker Bread I still think its a winner!
You can use any wholegrain spelt flour for this but I have found that the best results and the biggest loaves are made when I use this stoneground wholegrain spelt flour which can be purchased from Waitrose, Ocado or Amazon.
