Clean Eating Mushy Peas

Clean Eating Mushy Peas - The Kitchen Shed

Clean Eating Mushy Peas - The Kitchen ShedI don’t think I have ever eaten mushy peas before. I love the idea of them, especially the addition of green to a meal, but knowing they come out of a tin pretty much ruins it for me. Its not that I am against tinned food, I use tinned ingredients all the time, I just have never enjoyed the thought of mushy peas from a tin.

When I decided to clean up Fish & Chips, I knew I wanted to create a recipe for mushy peas too. I have this thing where there always has to be something green on my plate. It makes the meal look more complete and I know that I will be getting some goodness into my body too.

These Clean Eating Mushy Peas are AMAZING! I was eating them out of the pan with a spoon. The addition of asparagus gives it added nutritional value and balances out the sweetness of the peas. It takes just 10 minutes to put together and you can make it in advance and heat it up when you need it. You really need to try these!

If you have a little one who has just started on solid foods, this would be a great recipe to use for them too! If they have just started weaning blend it up until it is completely smooth adding extra water if necessary.
