As most of your know, I like to make my kiddos lunch boxes as fun and healthy as possible. My son loves smoothies and I have been searching for a way in which I would be able to send him to school with a homemade smoothie in his lunch box every day. Then I came across these amazing little reusable food pouches from Squeeze Please. Made from BPA Free food grade safe plastic – It was love at first sight!
The lovely owners of Squeeze Please sent these pouches for me to test out and share with you here at The Kitchen Shed. I just know you are going to love them! So here is how they work:
Once you have made your smoothie (or pureed baby food) you get your pouches ready but placing on the lids and then opening the pouches up from the bottom like so…
Then you simply pour in your smoothie. I allowed a 2-3 cm gap from the top and expelled the air before closing up the bottom.
Once you have filled all of your pouches you can store your smoothies in the fridge for the day or do what I did (as suggested by the lovely creators of Squeeze Please) and pop them in the freezer. That way they can be used as an ice pack in your child’s lunch box but be ready to slurp down when lunch time arrives. Genius!
My boys absolutely loved these pouches and I loved them too. They are easy to clean and easy to store and I am so excited to add them to my sons lunch box when he goes back to school next month.
