Clean Eating Winter Porridge Oats

imageimageimageThis porridge is just what you need on a chilly morning. Fruit sweetened and gently spiced, It is definitley the new favourite in our house. I had this ever day for the past week and when I missed it at breakfast, I ate it for lunch!

Clean Eating Winter Oats

Clean Eating Winter Porridge Oats 2

  • Yield: 1 Servings

If you fancy making this porridge extra special, then try adding a heaped teaspoon of cashew nut butter to serve. It is seriously good!

Ingredients

  • 40 grams Rolled Oats use gluten free is necessary
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Medjool Dates stone removed and diced
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Oil optional
  • 1 Apple diced
  • 200 ml Milk of choice plus more to serve
  • 1 heaped teaspoon Cashew Nut Butter or any nut butter - optional

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients (except for the nut butter) into a saucepan and cook on the hob over a low heat for 3 minutes or until the oats are cooked.
  2. To serve, add a splash of milk to make the porridge your preferred consistency and if using, add a dollop of cashew nut butter.
